RESTORATIVE REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Restorative programs are a key piece of the centers experience, and the Restorative Registered Nurse (RN) is an important part of this growing team. This RN will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance/restorative program for all residents, and will act as a liaison between all medical and non-medical departments.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the Restorative Registered Nurse (RN) include:

• Designing, monitoring and coordinating the maintenance and restorative program for all residents
• Administering restorative measures according to established care plans, policies and procedures
• Observing and assisting residents with eating/swallowing, feeding techniques and use of adaptive equipment
• Observing and assisting with applying splints/braces and position devices, as indicated by physicians or therapists
• Overseeing restorative dressing/grooming practices to help residents gain greater self-sufficiency
• Performing restorative ambulating, transfers and active/passive range of motion activities
• Providing monthly evaluations of residents momentum/decline and maintaining all required documentation of progress, as appropriate

Additional restorative services, as required.

Applicants must be compassionate, knowledgeable and empathetic, with strong interpersonal skills. A current Pennsylvania RN license and previous resident care experience with specific restorative nursing care training are required. Vaccination from COVID-19 is a condition for hiring.
