LPN Supervisor - Weekend Warrior

 

Part Time 

 

Saturday & Sunday 7:00am 7:00pm or 7:00pm to 7:00am

 

Work 2 12hr shifts on the weekends only!

 

 

Amber House, located at Harmon House Care Center is a licensed Personal Care Center, which includes 49 rooms including 6 suites.

 

 

At the center our mission is a skilled nursing staff, which seeks an LPN to join its ranks. The LPN will deliver quality care to assigned residents to ensure the physical, medical and emotional needs of residents/patients are met. Additional responsibilities include: 

  • Administering quality skilled nursing, in compliance with care plans, physicians’ orders and personal observations
  • Documenting all aspects of residents’ care accurately, concisely and promptly
  • Administering medication and treatments accurately and appropriately, and observing residents’ responses for documentation in patient files
  • Assisting in the evaluation of nursing care effectiveness, and relaying approved communications to families/caregivers
  • Joining physicians on rounds for assigned residents, communicating observations regarding chronic or a change in conditions
  • Training residents and families on areas of wellness and personal care, as instructed
  • Guiding and teaching Nursing Assistants to ensure safe, quality care for residents
  • Aiding residents as needed, or as instructed 

Due to the nature of our residents, compassion, patience, flexibility and a desire to serve are necessary for success in the RN Supervisor role. All applicants must be have a current, state-approved RN license or temporary practice permit, plus at least one year of experience in nursing and management (i.e. Head Nurse or comparable work). A strong knowledge of nursing principles, an understanding of long-term care regulations, and experience with Medicare/medical assistance is preferred.
