Full Time COTA needed for hands-on work at an innovative rehab center for a split between Harmon House and Greensburg Care Center!

 

Industry-leading care provider Apex Rehabilitation Solutions is seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join its fast-growing team of therapeutic professionals. This is a critical role within Apex, working hand-in-hand with resident occupational therapists to assess and treat clients, developing innovative care plans to best serve existing and emergent conditions. This hands-on role requires a compassionate, creative and strategic professional, who can work closely with members of the Apex team as well as clients and families in order to provide cutting edge therapies and personalized solutions. Ongoing responsibilities include: Working with an onsite occupational therapist to screen new clients and determine appropriate interventions based on those assessments
Responding directly to client requests, and relaying critical information to the OTR
Providing ongoing evaluations of existing clients to gauge improvement and determine care plan revisions
Assisting OTR in determining in-home or in-community care plans based on the needs out outpatient clients
Maintaining service records and manages client information, including updating files, as needed
Supervising COTA fieldwork students, as appropriate

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working with a senior population, plus a current state-specific license from the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board. Candidates must display professional competency and an ability to follow both written and oral instructions. All applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation, as travel to various facilities and/or client homes may be required.
