Industry-leading care provider Apex Rehabilitation Solutions seeks an experienced, licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join its fast-growing team of therapeutic professionals. This role works hand-in-hand with the onsite physical therapists to devise and carry out treatment plans for residents, including significant hands-on work with the center’s diverse group of elderly clients.

Responsibilities

This role requires a dedicated and hardworking professional with deep compassion and desire to help clients succeed in the center and beyond. The Physical Therapist Assistant will be a vital piece of the interdisciplinary team, with responsibilities including:

 

  • Screening new clients/residents and determining the need for intervention, under the supervision of the onsite physical therapists
  • Working with PTs to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Monitoring client progress and reporting findings to senior staff  
  • Aiding in the implementation of an ongoing evaluation/assessment system to ensure care plans are continuously successful
  • Training families and caregivers on personalized in-home care plans
  • Providing in-service education, as needed

Qualifications

The Physical Therapist Assistant will be expected to strive for professional growth through ongoing training and education. All candidates must be graduates of an American Physical Therapy Association-approved program, and have an active state license to practice. Applicants will be expected to display high levels of professional competency and a proven track record of experience, plus the ability to follow written and verbal directions. Some local travel is required, so candidates must also have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
