Altoona Center for Nursing Care and Amber Terrace follow the HCW Mandate.
 
Altoona Center for Nursing Care is a comprehensive skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing high-quality whole-patient care. This fast-growing center seeks two part-time Dietary Aide to join its fast-paced dietary services unit.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities of the Dietary Aide include:
  • Assisting in food/tray preparation, as directed
  • Serving food to residents based on specific menus and in dining room
  • Performing dish washing procedures on all meal trays, pots/pans, food service utensils and kitchen equipment
  • Preparing nourishments and positioning them in front of the nourishing station
  • Answering the unit telephone and directing calls, as needed
  • Filling in for the cook’s assistant on an as needed basis
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Previous food service experience preferred for this role. Additionally, a high school diploma or equivalent and some experience are also required. Must be able to provide driver's license or personal identification card at time of interview and must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
