Highland Park Care Center is a 144-bed Skilled Nursing Center, which includes a Center for the Memory Impaired. Located in Highland Park, the Center is just four miles from Downtown Pittsburgh, with easy access to public transportation. The Center features three large outdoor balconies, an activities center, and off-street parking.

To keep support this mission, our center seeks a Housekeeping Aide to perform a number of daily housekeeping functions in an effort to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, families and staff.

• Providing a clean and sanitary environment for all residents, visitors, staff and families
• Assuring resident rooms and furnishings are clean and sanitized
• Maintaining cleaning carts and equipment
• Following infection control policies/procedures to prevent the spread of illness and disease
• Ensuring rooms are properly ventilated to prevent condensation, mold growth and odors
• Collecting trash from patient and resident areas daily, and disposing properly
• Cleaning and sanitizing all bathrooms, residents’ rooms, public spaces and offices
• Dusting and cleaning walls, windows, screens and privacy curtains
• Reporting burned out lights and lightbulbs to the maintenance unit clerk immediately
• Additional maintenance duties, as needed

All applicants must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions, and must display strong communication, tact and interpersonal skills. A high school diploma or GED equivalent and previous housekeeping experience are preferred but not required. Vaccination from Covid-19 is a condition for hiring, except where a bona fide religious or medical exemption is submitted. Candidate must be able to provide driver's license or personal identification card at time of interview and must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
