Full Time - Monroeville

 

Woodhaven Care Center is a comprehensive skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing high-quality whole-patient care. This fast-growing center seeks a knowledgeable RN Clinical Coordinator to join its ranks. This fast-paced role requires a compassionate, strategic critical thinker with strong nursing and managerial experience, as well as a desire to provide meaningful service to patients and families.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

  • Directs, guides, teaches and develops RN Supervisors, LPNs, Nurse Aides and Unit Clerks, to ensure quality of care. Evaluates their performances. Administers disciplinary action in fair, equitable manner as needed.
  • Monitors staffing patterns and nursing care hours. Takes or recommends corrective action as necessary.
  • Supervises Staffing Coordinator and performs duties during period of absence.
  • Participates in the interviewing and selection of nursing staff.
  • Directs, monitors and controls nursing activities related to direct patient care of geriatric residents and residents of various ages.
  • Participates in the performance evaluation process by providing attendance records and observation of nursing assistants and performances.
  • Maintains quality assurance monitors to ensure proper resident care.
  • Oversees and performs resident rounds and reports findings to Director of Nursing and takes necessary follow-up action.
  • Instructs nursing assistants in proper preventive safety measures and use of adaptive equipment to meet the needs of each resident as needed.

Qualifications

All applicants must be have a current, state-approved RN license, plus at least one year of experience in nursing. A strong working knowledge of nursing principles, an understanding of long-term care regulations, and experience with Medicare/Insurances/Medical Assistance is preferred.
