Amber Hills, an assisted living facility, is the perfect choice for those who want to maintain optimum independence yet have 24/7 access to personal and medical care. Our own nursing staff provides around-the-clock care and assistance in activities of daily living. Amber Hills is located within the Cambria Care Center. Amber Hills at Cambria Care Center offers 30 well-appointed assisted living apartments with a variety of comfortable layouts. To support this growing community, our center seeks a part-time Med Tech to assist with all daily activities on a resident-by-resident basis.

Responsibilities of the Med Tech include:

• Providing/Assisting with all daily living activities, as needed by residents
• Promoting independence and self-sufficiency through hands-on assistance to residents with ADLs
• Administering medications and basic treatments, as appropriate
• Obtaining accurate temperature, pulse, respirations and records surrounding intake and output, and delivering prompt, proper incontinence care
• Registering accurate heights and weights on admission charts as well as during monthly/as instructed weight checks
• Answering call lights and responding to resident requests promptly
• Assisting in new nurses/personnel orientation
• Assisting with admission including orienting new residents and bringing personal items, as requested
• Making residents’ beds, as needed

All candidates must have medication management certification and a proven track record of success as a Med Tech. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is also required.
