Overview

Practical Administrative Solutions, located in RIDC Park in Pittsburgh is currently accepting candidates for a full time business analyst to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

The business analyst will be responsible for managing functional aspects of software application development, implementation and continued use and within a conglomerate of elder care companies.  The analyst must demonstrate ability to recognize business improvement opportunities and to assist business leaders in developing strategic plans, specification creation, system testing and software support operations.  The analyst will also have basic project management responsibilities for new software and software upgrade projects including but not limited to project organization, user testing coordination, task management as well as development and execution of training programs and end user management.  It is expected that the position will require some travel to company facilities and/or industry conferences as well as sporadic weekend and/or off-hour support.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Information Systems Management or equivalent field, or equivalent experience learning application of information technology concepts to business situations
  • Demonstrated success in 7+ years of functional/business analyst competency
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a project orientation with emphasis on task management
  • Preference for competency in enterprise applications in healthcare industry including clinical, EMR, financial and support software.
  • Ability to relate highly-technical systems solutions to non-technical users and document information and data requirements
  • Ability to communicate software benefits and project goals to user management/facility training personnel.
  • Ability to develop and execute testing plans
  • Ability to develop training materials as well as train users on new and updated software.
  • Ability to perform various end user management functions as required by the company or software systems.
  • Ability to conceptualize how information technology components interrelate (software, hardware, servers, networks, etc.) with maximum efficiency
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interface with users at all levels of company
  • Strong user support orientation and teamwork skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
