Dietary Services Manager

Providence Care Center is a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility and a 180-bed Skilled Nursing Center which includes a Center for the Memory Impaired. We also offer a new web-based Wound Specialty Care Program. Occupying the multi-story building, which used to be Providence Hospital, the facility features a beautifully landscaped center courtyard. Though located within the city limits of Beaver Falls, Providence Care Center serves all of Beaver County, as well as parts of Lawrence and Allegheny Counties.


The Dietary Services Manager oversees various aspects of food planning, preparation and service, based on essential therapeutic best practices and individual resident needs. This is a hands-on position for an experienced food service or healthcare professional.


Responsibilities of the Dietary Services Manager include:

  • Supervising the Dietary Department in all day-to-day and long-term programming and operations
  • Conducting all orientation and training for new department staff
  • Maintaining the utmost levels of quality assurance throughout the facility and among all departmental personnel
  • Developing comprehensive nutritional plans for each member, in coordination with the Clinical Dietician  
  • Reviewing all menus, recipes and supply orders to ensure high quality standards and budgetary compliance
  • Coordinating the delivery of appropriate therapeutic diets based on physician recommendations
  • Ensuring best practices are established and maintained in the kitchen and food prep areas, including food spoilage and sanitation
  • Visiting residents upon arrival and coordinating ongoing assessments to identify emerging needs/changes


All candidates must be either a Certified Dietary Manager, Dietary Technician, or Registered Dietitian; have a BS and/or Associate Degree in nutrition or hospitality/foodservice management. Supervisory experience is also required. Applicants must possess strong working/practical knowledge of menu and recipe development, nutritional standards and safe food handling, preparation and storage. Prior food service experience in a health care facility is preferred.
