Production Team Supervisor



Grane Rx is currently hiring a Production Team Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight for Fulfillment Technician’s needs within the production area. All Fulfillment Technicians will report to this position. The PTS will manage employee interactions, training, 90 Day and Annual Reviews, Kronos, Feedback forms, attendance issues and forms, and scheduling. The PTS will review our open needs as directed by the operations manager and assist with interviews and new hire training. 



The Production Team Supervisor reports directly to Pharmacy Operations Manager.  This position works in a shared services environment, which includes customer service, order entry, and pharmacists. This position works with team members and management in Pharmacy Operations, Customer Experience Team, Consultant Nurses, Billing, and Inventory.  This position also works with the management team.







  • Coordinate all activities associated with packaging, dispensing and staging
  • Meet delivery deadlines through effective delivery coordination
  • Collaborates with inventory management to ensure that an adequate supply of medications are available to meet customer needs
  • Ensure processes and systems are managed to meet our service level commitments
  • Ensure efficient “throughput“ of work within the filling, final quality checking, and shipping areas
  • Facilitate communication for problem resolution and changes occurring in the organization that may impact the work flow of the Pharmacy and Fulfillment areas
  • Communicates with delivery courier partner
  • Ensures standard processes are being followed
  • Summarizes communication needs, provides accurate information
  • Monitors weather, initiates weather protocol and contingency plans
  • Updates, reviews, and tracks quality check points
  • Work with management on productivity improvement, increased capacity, improved quality, enhanced service, and best practices




  • Creates and provides schedule for Fulfillment Technicians, manages schedule changes around holidays and overtime.
  • Manages PTO and call off requests for Fulfillment Technicians.
  • Documents personnel issues and addresses conflict among team members.
  • Performs 90 day and annual reviews to Fulfillment Technicians.
  • Organizes training and new hire orientation for team members.
  • Manages and ensures provisional licenses are maintained for Fulfillment area, works with team members to schedule their Pharmacy Certification Tests when needed.
  • Completes incident reports.
  • Sends and communicates to TM when they are selected for a random drug test.
  • Performs duties related to focus area as assigned, and if fully accountable to this area.
  • Responsibilities to assigned team members, including but not limited to, mentoring, individual development planning, talent management, coaching, corrective action, and 90 day reviews.
  • Assist Operations Manager with duties or projects supporting continuous improvement.
  • Participates as a fulfillment technician and is accountable for own work responsibilities.
  • Participates collegially in the development of new programs, practices and educational activities.
  • Ensures timely completion of maintenance logs and policy documentation.
  • Completes competency requirements in a timely manner.
  • Completes goal-setting with direct report at the beginning of the performance appraisal period.
  • Enhances professional and technical knowledge through seminars and other resources.
  • Maintains consistent communication with Operations Manager regarding area specific initiatives and activities.
  • Positive, professional demeanor is projected through verbal and non-verbal communications.
  • Interpersonal conflicts are resolved using appropriate methods and organizational resources, including but not limited to Employee Assistance Program.

  • Duties as assigned



  • College degree in business or healthcare is desired.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in pharmacy is preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget and staffing management.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy automation and computers is preferred.
  • Proficiency in desktop productivity tools, emphasis on Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Exhibits professional demeanor and ability to guide fulfillment technicians through workflow.
  • Exhibits patience and perseverance when working with computer and automation users.
  • Exhibits strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exhibits excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong user support orientation.
  • Exhibits strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
