At the center of our mission is its skilled nursing units, with the RN Unit Manager overseeing, supervising, directing and controlling the activities of the nursing personnel of the unit to ensure the highest quality of care is maintained at all times.




Responsibilities of RN Unit Manager: 

  • Conducting general personnel orientations and nursing-specific trainings for employees
  • Ensuring all pre-employment screenings are completed, including scheduled physicals and TB testing
  • Scheduling and recording required employee health issues, such as hepatitis B
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are followed by all nursing personnel
  • Initiates/oversees administration of IV therapy as per facility policy
  • Conducting ongoing nursing unit rounds to review work in progress, evaluate resident care and handle routine medical needs
  • Initiating IV therapy and administers all IV drugs ordered
  • Managing schedules and staff assignments to meet resident care needs; participates in “on call” procedure as assigned
  • Assisting with nursing department performance improvement duties and assumes responsibility for infection control activities
  • Functioning as a Nursing Supervisor, as assigned


Candidate must be able to analyze and assist with complex resident care, and should be comfortable investigating/resolving problems, initiating therapeutic approaches to wound care/prevention and make on-the-spot decisions to best support patient needs. All candidates must be licensed as an RN in Pennsylvania, with at least one year of experience in wound care treatment and prevention required along with Infection control.
