Long Term Care Center Seeks Respiratory Therapist for Exciting, Hands-on Position

Cambria Care Center is a 301-bed skilled nursing facility offering both skilled and intermediate care. Quality nursing and professional medical care is at the center of Cambria Care Center's approach, and we are looking for a PRN Respiratory Therapist to join our team to fill in for vacations and requested days off. This is a great opportunity!

This hands-on role requires a compassionate, creative and strategic professional, who can work closely with members of the care team as well as clients and families in order to provide cutting edge therapies and personalized solutions. Ongoing responsibilities include:

• Interviewing and examining patients regarding their respiratory ailments
• Diagnosing respiratory ailments
• Testing patient lung capacities
• Analyzing the levels of oxygen and other gases in a patient’s blood
• Examining test results and identifying issues
• Removing mucus and other fluids from patient’s lungs
• Clearing patients’ airways of physical obstructions
• Educating patients on lung health and disease prevention
• Instructing patients on the use of inhalers and other respiratory tools
• Providing emergency resuscitation in cases of ceased breathing
• Determining patient treatment plans with supervising physician

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working with a senior population, plus a current state-specific certification. Candidates must display professional competency and an ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
