Director of Dietary
Altoona Center for Nursing Care is a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Center and a 34-room Assisted Living Facility. This center seeks a Director of Dietary to lead its fast-paced dietary services unit. This position reports directly to the Administrator, and oversees all phases of the food and nutrition services program throughout the center.
Responsibilities of the Director of Dietary include:
All candidates must be either a certified dietary manager, Dietary Technician, or Registered Dietitian; have a BS and/or associate degree in nutrition or hospitality/foodservice management. Supervisory experience is also required. Applicants must possess strong working/practical knowledge of menu and recipe development, nutritional standards and safe food handling, preparation and storage. Prior food service experience in a health care facility is preferred. EOE.
