Infection Control LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse)

Cambria Care Center is a 301-bed skilled nursing facility offering both skilled and intermediate care. To support the center’s ongoing success, we are currently seeking a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) Infection Control Specialist to join our clinical team.

Responsibilities of the Infection Control LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) include:

• Conducting general personnel orientations and nursing-specific trainings for employees
• Ensuring all pre-employment screenings are completed, including scheduled physicals and TB testing
• Scheduling and recording required employee health issues, such as hepatitis B
• Preparing and conducting in-service educational programs geared towards geriatric residents, and residents of various ages
• Assisting with nursing department performance improvement duties and assumes responsibility for infection control activities
• Functioning as a Nursing Supervisor, as assigned

Candidates must be a licensed LPN or RN with a valid Pennsylvania or temporary practice permit, and a strong working knowledge of federal/state regulations, Medicare/Medicaid and general insurance best practices. To be considered, applicants must have at least one year of experience in long-term care; preferably at a skilled nursing facility or related healthcare environment; with specific infection control work experience and certification required.
