Woodhaven Care Center is seeking a RESTORATIVE Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Registered Nurse (RN) for hands-on resident care work!

*Previous resident care experience with specific restorative nursing training are REQUIRED.

Woodhaven Care Center is a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Center with a 30-bed Specialty Care Unit conveniently located in Monroeville just five minutes from the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Restorative programs are a key piece of the centers experience, and the Restorative LPN/RN is an important member of this growing management team. This position will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance/restorative program for all residents, and will act as a liaison between all medical and non-medical departments.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and coordinating the maintenance for restorative programs of all residents
• Administering restorative measures according to established care plans, policies and procedures
• Observing and assisting residents with eating/swallowing, feeding techniques and use of adaptive equipment
• Observing and assisting with applying splints/braces and position devices, as indicated by physicians or therapists
• Overseeing restorative dressing/grooming practices to help residents gain greater self-sufficiency
• Performing restorative ambulating, transfers and active/passive range of motion activities
• Providing monthly evaluations of residents momentum/decline and maintaining all required documentation of progress, as appropriate
• Responding to/resolving emergencies in the absence of an RN
• Additional services, as dictated by care plans and resident needs

Applicants must be compassionate, knowledgeable and empathetic, with strong interpersonal skills. Applicants must also be able to analyze and assist with complex resident care, and should be comfortable investigating/resolving problems and make on-the-spot decisions to best support patient needs. 

*A current Pennsylvania LPN OR RN license and previous resident care experience with specific restorative nursing is required, as is a high school diploma or GED.
