Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Grane Rx has 3 pharmacylocations serving LTC, AL and PACE programs in six states.

     

     

    Staffed Accountant principle responsibilities include:

    •  Financial statement preparation and general ledger maintenance. 

    • Additional key responsibilities include analyzing assets, liabilities, accounts receivables, and accounts payable.

    Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities

     

    • Assists in the monthly peperation of financial statements.
    • Reconciles revenue at the completion of month end billing.
    • Prepares month-end closing reports.
    • Records monthly journal entries
    • Completes all month-end closing activities in a timely manner.
    • Prepares expense reconciliation.
    • Evaluates and records expense accrual.
    • Assists with monthly billing functions.
    • Posts cash reciepts.
    • Oversees monthly A/R collection performance.
    • Compiles bad debt write-off recommendation.
    • Maintains monthly reconciliations on certain general ledger accounts.
    • Monitors assets and calculates depreciation.
    • Calculates unbilled accrual.
    • Reviews bad debt expense.
    • Maintains pre-paid schedules.
    • Prepares quarterly intercompany sales and payment reconciliation.
    • Reconciles intercompany indebtedness with corporate peers.
    • Completes additional quarterly tasks/reports as required.
    • Prepares schedules and workpapers for year-end review.
    • Trains department staff on use of department software, policies, and procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
    • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, healthcare preferred.

    ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Demonstrates solid math and exceptional accounting skills.
    • Exceptional computer skills and proficiency in MS excel, word & Power Point
    • Experience with SAGE Intacct is a plus
