Headquarters in Pittsburgh, Grane Rx has 3 pharmacylocations serving LTC, AL and PACE programs in six states.

     

     

    Senior Accountant principle responsibilities include:

    • Financial statement preparation.
    • Participate in various month end closing activities.
    • Assists CFO with various analysis and variance explanations

    Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities

     

    • Prepares draft financial statements for review.
    • Maintains the general ledger system.
    • Approves and/or records monthly journal entries.
    • Reviews monthly closing processes to prevent errors.
    • Maintains and/or supervises the maintenance of the fixed asset ledger.
    • Assists CFO with the preparation of the annual budget.
    • Assists in the supervision of the physical inventory process.
    • Assists CFO with ad-hoc reporting.
    • Assists CFO with team member training.
    • Assists CFO with tasks as needed.
    • Leads the preparation of the yearly Financial Review.
    • Audits work flow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with company policies.
    • Ensures compliance with all internal controls and provides input for improved risk mitigation.
    • Reviews internal processes for efficiency and work-flow improvement opportunities.
    • Assists in safeguarding the assets of investors.
    • Provide assistance to operational managers with financial questions and reports.
    • Performs special projects as requested by management.

    Qualifications

     

      Qualifications

     

    • Possesses excellent critical thinking as well as analytical skills.
    • Demonstrates solid math and exceptional accounting skills.
    • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • PC proficiency is required. Significant Microsoft Excel experience and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Word are required.
    • Displays exceptional attention to detail.
    • Advocates the highest ethical standards and practices.
    • Possesses the ability to manage a complex workload involving multiple priorities.
    • Possesses a working knowledge of US GAAP and demonstrates the ability to perform research for specific accounting guidance.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of financial and accounting software programs.
    • Maintains a positive attitude.
    • Possesses the ability to promote and facilitate a team environment.
    • A Bachelor’s  degree in accounting is required, a CPA is a plus. 
    • Four plus years of progressive accounting experience, healthcare preferred.
