    Full Time - Pittsburgh, Pa

     

    The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing remote and onsite IT support for our user base at various locations. The IT Technician will provide support with workstations, applications, mobile devices and related technology.  The IT Technician will also assist in deploying and managing computer equipment . Other responsibilities include policy and procedure documentation, knowledge-base maintenance, end-user training, and other IT duties as required.

     

    This position may require travel to other sites to provide support, as needed.  

    Responsibilities

    This position will have the following responsibilities:

    • Provide onsite and remote technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person.
    • Create, maintain, and authorize network and application access
    • Identify, research and resolve hardware, operating system, application and network related problems
    • Utilize the support ticketing application to thoroughly document efforts, monitor issues and ensure timely resolution of support requests
    • Contributes to and assists in maintaining company’s technical knowledge base
    • Create, maintain, and deploy computer images for the company’s laptops and desktops
    • Install, test, and deploy service packs, updates, or patches
    • Receive, track, and ship company’s assets, including laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices and peripherals
    • Perform light lifting or transporting of company assets, up to 50 lbs.
    • Travel to company’s other sites to provide support, as needed ( <10%)
    • Provide on-call and emergency coverage on a rotating basis (rotation is normally one week every seven weeks, however may vary based on staffing)

    Qualifications

     

    This position will require the following knowledge, skill set and acquired abilities:

    • IT related Associates degree required, Bachelor’s preferred, or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum of 1 year demonstrated IT work experience
    • Preference for competency in enterprise applications in a healthcare environment including clinical, EMR, financial and support software
    • Exceptional knowledge of computer hardware, including laptops, printers, kiosks and mobile devices
    • Competency with Microsoft Active Directory, including group policy and domain management
    • Demonstrated competency with desktop operating systems, including Windows 7 and 10
    • Proficiency in desktop productivity tools with emphasis on Microsoft Office and SharePoint
    • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN environments, networking concepts and IT security
    • Exhibits professional demeanor and ability to interface with computer users with various levels of computer knowledge
    • Exhibits patience and perseverance when working with computer users
    • Exhibits strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
    • Exhibits excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong user support orientation
    • Exhibits strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
