    Integrated care leader Grane Hospice Care, Inc. is expanding its core interdisciplinary team and seeks an experienced Billing Assistant. This position is responsible for supporting the Billing Specialists with the cycle of revenue generated from the clinical services provided by a hospice operation

    Responsibilities of the Billing Assistant – Medical Billing

    • Insurance Verifications
    • Knowledgeable of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance plan benefits
    • Understands co-pays, co-ins, OOP, and deductibles
    • Sending Oasis and HIS to the state
    • Review monthly insurance verification reports and check for changes
    • Data entry
    • Import medications
    • Daily census reporting (as backup)
    • Cross train on AP and GL coding
    • Triaging phone calls
    • Special projects as needed


    Requirements of the Medical Billing Specialist – Medical Billing

    • Associate Degree in Medical Billing or related field
    • Prior medical billing experience is required – hospice billing experience is highly preferred
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task in fast pace environment
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Prior experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
