Riverside Care Center is currently seeking a dedicated FLOOR CARE/HOUSEKEEPER

Hours: Must be able to work all 3 shifts

• 6:00AM-2:30PM
• 7:30AM-4:00PM
• 1:00PM-9:30PM

Holidays and weekends ARE required.

Through its comprehensive onsite services including cardiac, orthopedic, wound and memory support, Riverside has come to revolutionize senior care in Allegheny County, helping its residents maximize their health, well-being and overall quality of life during these critical elder years.

To keep support this mission, our center seeks a Floor Care/Housekeeper to perform a number of daily housekeeping functions in an effort to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, families and staff.

Responsibilities include:  

• Providing a clean and sanitary environment for all residents, visitors, staff and families
• Stripping/Waxing floors
• Assuring resident rooms and furnishings are clean and sanitized
• Maintaining cleaning carts and equipment
• Following infection control policies/procedures to prevent the spread of illness and disease
• Ensuring rooms are properly ventilated to prevent condensation, mold growth and odors
• Collecting trash from patient and resident areas daily, and disposing properly
• Cleaning and sanitizing all bathrooms, residents’ rooms, public spaces and offices
• Dusting and cleaning walls, windows, screens and privacy curtains
• Reporting burned out lights and lightbulbs to the maintenance unit clerk immediately
• Additional maintenance duties, as needed

All applicants must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions, and must display strong communication, tact and interpersonal skills. A high school diploma or GED equivalent and previous housekeeping experience are preferred but not required.   Candidate must be able to provide driver's license or personal identification card at time of interview and must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
