    Inventory Assistant 


    Full Time - West Chester 


    The Inventory Assistant is part of the Pharmacy Operations Team, and report directory to the Operations Manager – West Chester.  This position will work directly with Inventory associates and Fulfillment technicians. 


    The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about organization, cleanliness, promptness and accuracy, is interested in technology, and thrives in fast-paced dynamic environment.


    • Responsible for daily purchasing of medications needed for dispensing
    • Responsible for disposal of all returns, recalls, and expired products
    • Performs a routine inventory count on a predefined cycle, while maintaining a daily perpetual inventory
    • Responsible to receive, audit, maintain inventory
    • Responsible for maintaining current inventory processes
    • Conduct Inventory Cycle counts timely
    • Perform narcotic cycle counts monthly
    • Participates in continuous quality improvement
    • Checks pharmacy areas for expired medications
    • Ensures all medications are put into inventory in timely manner
    • Compares daily order received to delivery manifest
    • Pre-packs blister cards as needed
    • Fills prescriptions when necessary
    • Ensures loading dock is clean, safe, and organized
    • Puts medication restocks back into inventory
    • Keeps compounding area clean and supplies organized
    • Obtains medications from off-site sources when needed

    • Is prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a consistent basis



    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Proactive learner who seeks first to understand
    • Meticulously attentive to every detail
    • Experience preferred, but not required, in a Pharmacy Long Term Care (LTC) or fast paced inventory environment
    • Intermediate or advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe
    • Outstanding analytical skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, establishing rapport and working with others
