The Program Director will be at the forefront of this powerful mission, directing the overall direction and growth plan for the Adult Day Center, including all clinical, financial and supportive operational management. This position reports to the Senior LIFE board of directors.

     

    Senior LIFE Greensburg is committed to enhancing the ability of seniors to stay at home and live safely in the community as long as possible by coordinating comprehensive healthcare and supportive services for our members.

     

    Senior LIFE is an innovative program that uses a team approach to provide seniors in Westmoreland County with medical, social, nutritional and rehabilitation services. These services are provided at the Senior LIFE Greensburg Center and are accompanied with in-home nursing care, personal care, and other homecare services as needed. Senior LIFE makes it possible for seniors to remain at home, enjoying the comfort and reassurance of familiar surroundings while receiving the care they need.

     

    Responsibilities

    As the high-ranking center official, the Program Director will be responsible for multiple operational and programmatic functions, including: 

     

    • Managing the Senior LIFE center, including all cross-department functionality, human resource initiatives, programming, services, marketing, financial services and community outreach
    • Directing and supervising all department heads and managers within the center
    • Initiating and implementing large-scale internal and external strategic planning initiatives for the center, including planned expansions and the development of new partnerships, programming and services
    • Identifying, developing and implementing innovative new programs and services to increase the effectiveness of the interdisciplinary teams and maximize Senior LIFE’s footprint within the greater community
    • Maintaining and expanding the fiscal solvency of the Senior LIFE program, while ensuring maximum fiscal viability through efficient, effective operational best practices
    • Developing and managing all external program relations, as well as all local, statewide and national PR initiatives
    • Creating and managing the overall center budget, including department by department adherence and allocations
    • Assuring center-wide compliance with all state and federal regulations, including Member’s Rights policies and HIPPA privacy requirements

    Qualifications

    This executive management role requires a diverse knowledge and skill set extending across programming, management, financial and business development responsibilities, and requires an experienced health or social services professional with the passion, versatility, creativity and influence to lead a diverse team on an unparalleled mission to redefine elder healthcare in this country. Senior LIFE’s core program and processes are highly distinctive and ground-breaking within healthcare and, as such, the center seeks a leader who can not only align with these beliefs and practices, but also grow and expand the organization’s greater mission.

     

    Applicants must have a BS in a related field, plus a minimum of five years’ experience in a management or leadership role, directing a health or social services program. Final candidates will be expected to show proven experience and success in program development and implementation, strategic planning, budgetary oversight, organizational development, resource allocation and public relations.
