  • Overview

    HarmarVillage is a 130 bed Skilled Nursing Center, which includes an on-site dialysis facility, as well as Specialty Care Programs and a Center for the Memory Impaired.  As our center continues to grow and thrive, its team is expanding and requires significant administrative support. The AR/Billing Clerk is an important piece of this evolution, completing imperative medical billing tasks.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

    • Maintaining Medicare and commercial billing information to ensure prompt payments 
    • Maintaining accurate accounts receivable records to maximize incoming revenue, and troubleshoot all late accounts 
    • Securing necessary medical documentation requested by insurance companies and third-party payers 
    • Communicate with families and or responsible parties regarding any and all questions of invoices 
    • Engaging medical record staff and physicians to determine proper diagnoses/procedures to report to residents’ insurance companies
    • Posting private pay payments to residents accounts  
    • Preparing resident billing for third-party services 
    • Other billing-based duties, as needed

    Qualifications

    This position requires a versatile, independent and detail-oriented professional, with at least one year of experience in Long Term Care billing or related medical field.   Candidates are expected to have a working knowledge of electronic billing procedures and best practices, as well as general computer/software usage.  Medicare knowledge is required, as is previous medical billing experience.
