    HOUSEKEEPER sought for full-time role at a thriving healthcare facility in Mt. Pleasant.

     

    Full Time- Daylight - 7am-3pm - $11.10/hr

     

    Harmon House is a 109-bed Skilled Nursing Center that offers Wound Specialty Care.

    Central to our modern facility is a lovely mansion, which was built in the early 1900s and served as a family home until the mid-1970s. Subsequently, we purchased the mansion, totally renovated and modernized the interior, and built two new buildings attached to it, in keeping with the style of the mansion. The mansion now houses administrative and support offices, while the two new interconnected structures include the two-story Harmon House Care Center and the five-story Amber House.

     

    To help support this mission, our center seeks a Housekeeper to perform a number of daily housekeeping functions in an effort to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, families and staff.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include:  

    • Providing a clean and sanitary environment for all residents, visitors, staff and families
    • Assuring resident rooms and furnishings are clean and sanitized
    • Maintaining cleaning carts and equipment
    • Following infection control policies/procedures to prevent the spread of illness and disease
    • Ensuring rooms are properly ventilated to prevent condensation, mold growth and odors
    • Collecting trash from patient and resident areas daily, and disposing properly
    • Cleaning and sanitizing all bathrooms, residents’ rooms, public spaces and offices
    • Dusting and cleaning walls, windows, screens and privacy curtains
    • Reporting burned out lights and lightbulbs to the maintenance unit clerk immediately
    • Additional maintenance duties, as needed

    Qualifications

    All applicants must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions, and must display strong communication, tact and interpersonal skills. A high school diploma or GED equivalent and previous housekeeping experience are preferred but not required.  Candidate must be able to provide driver's license or personal identification card at time of interview.
