Woodhaven Care Center is a comprehensive skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing high-quality whole-patient care. Through its comprehensive onsite services including cardiac, orthopedic, wound and memory support, HarmarVillage has come to revolutionize senior care in Allegheny County, helping its clients maximize their health, well-being and overall quality of life during these critical elder years.

Restorative programs are a key piece of the centers experience, and the Restorative LPN is an important part of this growing team. This LPN will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance/restorative program for all residents, and will act as a liaison between all medical and non-medical departments.

    Day-to-day responsibilities include:

    • Designing, monitoring and coordinating the maintenance and restorative program for all residents
    • Administering restorative measures according to established care plans, policies and procedures
    • Observing and assisting residents with eating/swallowing, feeding techniques and use of adaptive equipment
    • Observing and assisting with applying splints/braces and position devices, as indicated by physicians or therapists
    • Overseeing restorative dressing/grooming practices to help residents gain greater self-sufficiency
    • Performing restorative ambulating, transfers and active/passive range of motion activities
    • Providing monthly evaluations of residents momentum/decline and maintaining all required documentation of progress, as appropriate
    • Additional restorative services, as required

The Restorative LPN will also be expected to be the team lead for the center’s Fall and Restraint Committee, and serve on other panels/committees, as requested.

Applicants must be compassionate, knowledgeable and empathetic, with strong interpersonal skills. A current Pennsylvania LPN license and previous resident care experience with specific restorative nursing care training are required, as is a high school diploma or GED.
