    Restorative and Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN)

    Full Time - McKeesport, Pa

    Riverside Care Center is currently seeking a Registered Nurses (RN) for a full time, Monday-Friday, daylight position with a background in Restorative nursing and Staff Development. They position will split time between the two programs and requires 1-2 years of experience in both.

    Responsibilities

    While, often, no two days are the same, daily responsibilities of  the Restorative and Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN) will center on the needs of patients and include:  

     

    • Responsible for the orientation of newly hired nursing personnel to the facility and ensuring required pre-employment screening be completed, including scheduling physicals, TB testing, etc., and maintains records of screening results
    • Provides training on new equipment and products
    • Coordinate and keep records of in-services and training that meet Federal, State, Local and JCAHO regulations and requirements
    • Responsible for nursing department Performance Improvement activities and presenting PI data at quarterly meetings
    • Provide monthly evaluations and keep records of residents progress/decline
    • Administer restorative measures, as well as observe and assure staff are following the restorative plan
    • Report declines in residents’ functional ability to the Therapy Dept.
    • Team Leader for Fall and Restraint Committees
    • Previous Train the trainer experience for CNA classes is preferred.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned

    Applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong ability to quickly assess patient situations, and respond to emergent needs effectively and professionally.
