Overview

This Position has Rotating Shifts 

 

As a Pharmacy Fill Tech Shift Lead, you will provide leadership and oversight for workflow, delivery, quality, and automated systems while working to optimize the role of fulfillment technicians in regard to the pharmacy packaging and logistics process. You will be responsible for monitoring workflow and measuring production efficiencies to ensure timely and accurate dispensing and delivery. You will have inventory ordering and maintenance responsibility. You will resolve issues and escalate to Operations Manager.  You will monitor reports and dashboards for daily production. You will assist Operations Manager in training and coaching to promote quality and performance.  You will maintain consistent communication with management and other departments.  You will be a subject matter expert and resource for informational inquiries regarding, but not limited to, the pharmacy automation and workflow. 

Responsibilities

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience is required.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience; experience in a pharmacy dispensing setting is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in management position preferred.
  • General PC knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy automation and computers is preferred.
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within dispensing pharmacy.
  • Exhibits strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exhibits excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Working knowledge of commercial automation/dispensing modalities and/or manufacturing processes/production operations.
  • Experience with budget and staffing management
  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate heavy work volumes.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems and make decisions
  • Ability and desire to assist team members.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides leadership and oversight for workflow, delivery, and automated systems.
  • Lead evening fulfillment technicians in regard to the pharmacy packaging and logistics process.
  • Responsible for maintaining current inventory PM management processes.
  • Coordinates Delivery with Courier, UPS, FedEx.
  • Ensures loading dock is clean, safe, and organized.
  • Coordinate with IT and Vendor to provide input for optimization of equipment and automation..
  • Experience with budget and staffing management.
  • Serves as a support contact for automation and technical issues.
  • Maintains knowledge of changes in medication delivery systems to provide accurate and timely service to customers.
  • Performs medication packaging, toting and other duties when staffing requires.
  • Ensures timely completion of maintenance logs and policy documentation.
  • Maintains consistent communication with Operations Manager regarding area specific initiatives and activities.
  • Travel to other sites to provide support, as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging and technical environment.
  • Ensure appropriate distribution of workload and workflow.
  • Serve as the first line resource for questions and issues from team.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities consistent with core values.
  • Effectively manages issues impacting performance and productivity of team members; including documenting issues, offering solutions, collaborating with team, communicating status and escalating concerns.
  • Assist Operations Manager to ensure standard operating procedures are being followed.
  • Assist Operations Manager in meeting team goals for productivity, quality, customer service, and delivery.
  • Assist Operations Manager in monitoring staff performance levels and retraining or coach as applicable.
  • Analyze equipment, automation, and process workflow on a day to day basis.
  • Knowledgeable and trained on all processes, automation, and equipment in order to troubleshoot and assist in workflow.
  • Assist Operations Manager with team member reviews.
